Overview

The Structural Steel Welder–Fabricator position at Cleaver-Brooks involves working in a well-organized bay to fabricate and weld structural metal assemblies according to blueprints and specifications. Responsibilities

  • Lay out, position, align, and fit structural metal assemblies per blueprints and specifications.
  • Operate cutting torches safely and execute carbon arc gouging with proficiency.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and process sheets with high accuracy.
  • Use tape measures, levels, and related tools to verify fit-up, alignment, and dimensional accuracy.
  • Perform high-quality welding and fabrication using established procedures and standards.
  • Complete required ASME welding certification tests within the specified timeframe.
  • Follow plant safety rules and help maintain a clean, orderly, and compliant work environment.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned to support production flow.

Requirements

  • Technical training from an accredited school or at least six months of related welding experience.
  • Dependable, detail-focused, and committed to quality and safety.
