Overview

Jennings Mechanical is a top-tier mechanical contractor serving the Charleston, SC area and beyond, specializing in commercial HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical system installations. They are seeking a highly skilled Pipefitter to join their team and contribute to impactful, large-scale projects across the region.

Responsibilities

  • Measure, cut, thread, groove, and bend pipes to exact specifications using a variety of hand tools and power tools.
  • Install and assemble pipe systems, supports, valves, and associated hydraulic, pneumatic, or steam systems.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, P&IDs, piping isometric drawings, and technical specifications.
  • Inspect, test, and troubleshoot piping systems for leaks and performance using air pressure or hydrostatic testing.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3+ years of experience as a Pipefitter in a commercial or industrial mechanical environment.
  • Proficiency in pipe installation, including steel, copper, PVC, and cast iron piping.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and piping layouts.
  • Familiarity with rigging, threading machines, grooving tools, and other industry equipment.
  • Strong attention to detail, troubleshooting skills, and commitment to safety.
  • Physical ability to lift heavy materials, climb ladders, and work in a variety of conditions.
  • Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license preferred.
