Job Description

Overview

We are now hiring pipefitters to join our team in Orangeburg, SC. As a Pipefitter, you will be responsible for the layout, assembly, installation, and maintenance of piping systems in commercial, industrial, and institutional environments.

Responsibilities

  • Measure, cut, thread, groove, and bend pipes to exact specifications using a variety of hand tools and power tools.
  • Install and assemble pipe systems, supports, valves, and associated hydraulic, pneumatic, or steam systems.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, P&IDs, piping isometric drawings, and technical specifications.
  • Inspect, test, and troubleshoot piping systems for leaks and performance using air pressure or hydrostatic testing.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3+ years of experience as a Pipefitter in a commercial or industrial mechanical environment.
  • Proficiency in pipe installation, including steel, copper, PVC, and cast iron piping.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and piping layouts.
  • Familiarity with rigging, threading machines, grooving tools, and other industry equipment.
  • Strong attention to detail, troubleshooting skills, and commitment to safety.
  • Physical ability to lift heavy materials, climb ladders, and work in a variety of conditions.
  • Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license preferred.
  • OSHA 10 preferred.

Additional Information

  • Work hours are from 7a-3:30p.
  • Pay ranges from $25-$32 per hour depending on experience.
