Overview

The Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for miscellaneous metals fabrication projects including stairs, railings, ornamental metals, ladders, embeds, and other custom fabricated steel components. Tiello has partnered with a highly reputable Structural Steel Fabricator in Palm City, FL on their search for a Structural Steel/Miscellaneous Metals Estimator who specializes in delivering high-quality fabrication for commercial and industrial construction projects throughout the region.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed and accurate estimates for miscellaneous metals fabrication projects.
• Perform quantity takeoffs from architectural and structural drawings.
• Analyze project specifications, bid documents, and scope requirements.
• Solicit and evaluate vendor and subcontractor pricing.
• Develop competitive bid proposals while maintaining company profit margins.
• Collaborate with detailing, project management, and production teams throughout the estimating process.
• Review project drawings to identify scope gaps, RFIs, and value engineering opportunities.
• Participate in bid reviews and project turnover meetings after award.

Requirements

• 3+ years of estimating experience within structural steel or miscellaneous metals fabrication.
• Strong background in structural steel/miscellaneous metals fabrication.
• Experience using Tekla PowerFab (FabSuite).
• Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, and fabrication drawings.
• Knowledge of fabrication processes, steel materials, and production workflows.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Eligibility to work in the United States.
