Overview

The Welder/Fabricator 2 position involves the safe and efficient fabrication of steel products, requiring mid-level welding skills with some supervision. The role emphasizes initiative, dependability, and the ability to work on semi-routine assignments.

Responsibilities

  • Fabricate steel products safely and efficiently.
  • Fit and weld subassemblies into final position with flat or horizontal welds.
  • Accurately measure to specified tolerances.
  • Perform flat and horizontal welding.
  • Inspect welds and perform basic layouts.
  • Utilize welding equipment and maintain it.
  • Recognize areas of opportunity within current standard procedures.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • 2+ years of welding experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of material identification and equipment utilization.
  • Ability to read a tape measure (imperial and metric).
  • Ability to understand and follow oral and written directions.
  • Ability to work safely and accurately.
  • Ability to accept responsibility and account for actions.
  • Advanced knowledge of weld symbols.
  • Basic oxy fuel and/or carbon arcing skills.
  • Dependable and trustworthy.

Additional Information

  • Monday - Friday, 6:00 am - 4:30 pm (OT as required).
  • Location: West Fargo, ND.
