Overview

The Welder position on the Day Shift operates from 6 AM to 4:30 PM and emphasizes the core values of trust, respect, teamwork, integrity, safety, and humility. The role involves using various welding and hand tools while adhering to safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Operate various types of welding tools and hand tools.
• Read drawings, blueprints, and heat numbers.
• Follow standard work, training guides, weld procedures, and acceptance criteria.
• May be responsible for basic robot operation, including loading and unloading parts.
• Perform basic problem solving and decision making.
• Follow build boards and Kanban system requirements.
• Report inconsistencies and defects in material, product, or equipment.
• Make adjustments to fab parts for proper alignment.
• Maintain a positive work atmosphere through collaboration.
• Help the company meet its Strategic, Quality, and Safety objectives.
• Be available for additional responsibilities and overtime hours.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Combination of welding certification(s) and/or experience preferred.
• Basic computer knowledge (Windows, email, internet).
• Basic reading skills for instructional and technical information.
• Ability to lift 70 pounds from floor to waist and carry 50 pounds.
• Ability to push and/or pull up to 100 pounds.
• Ability to stoop, crouch, kneel, and bend.
• Visual acuity required to inspect work completed.
• Ability to learn new tasks and maintain focus.

• Position requires walking, sitting, or standing to a significant degree.
• This role may be subject to internal and external environmental conditions.
