Job Description

Overview

Fire Escape Services Network is hiring skilled tradespeople including Ironworks-Fabricators, Wood Balcony Carpenters, Painters, and Home Inspectors as 1099 subcontractors across San Francisco and the entire West Coast. The company offers steady work with a focus on building restoration teams nationwide.

Responsibilities

  • Perform repairs, replacement work, re-bolting, and structural corrections on fire escapes.
  • Conduct prep, scraping, rust treatment, priming, and coatings for fire escape painting.
  • Handle framing, repairs, replacement, and waterproofing for wood balconies and exterior egress.
  • Provide maintenance and preventive care for fire escape systems.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of trade experience preferred, especially in fire escape, ironwork, or balconies.
  • Valid driver's license required (MA or CA depending on work location).
  • Background check required.
  • Must complete a W-9 form as a 1099 contractor.
  • References and a proven track record are necessary.
  • Must sign an Independent Contractor Agreement.
  • General Liability and Workers Comp insurance required.
