Overview

Argonne is seeking a Journeyman Maintenance Mechanic I to perform maintenance and repairs on building and utility electrical and mechanical systems under the supervision of a Building Maintenance Foreman. The role emphasizes compliance with safety and quality policies while maintaining an acceptable attendance record.

Responsibilities

  • Perform maintenance and repairs on HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and other mechanical systems.
  • Execute work in compliance with environmental safety health and quality policies.
  • Supervise personnel under maintenance operations.
  • Maintain an acceptable attendance record.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in disassembly, replacement, or repair of HVAC, building structures, utilities, electrical, or mechanical systems.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Two years of technical school training and 3+ years of experience or 5+ years of preventive maintenance and repair.

Compensation

  • Hourly wage: $45.37 - $45.57.
