Overview

The Manufacturing Maintenance Technician I is an entry-level position responsible for providing mechanical and electrical support in a dairy processing and manufacturing plant. The role involves ensuring proper operations by making repairs, replacements, and adjustments to equipment and maintaining the facility's structural integrity.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct a thorough walkthrough and assessment of all equipment, both in operation and shut down.
  • Perform routine mechanical and electrical repairs on equipment as required.
  • Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on equipment as required.
  • Conduct troubleshooting on malfunctioning and/or out-of-service equipment.
  • Provide mechanical assistance to plant Operators in troubleshooting and repairing equipment.
  • Monitor and maintain plant systems and subsystems to operate various equipment.
  • Be available to work shifts to fulfill personnel slotting requirements.

Requirements

  • 3+ years in a manufacturing/production environment within a related industry, preferably food manufacturing.
  • Understanding of engineering theory and principles related to plant operations.
  • Knowledge of Homogenizers, Blow Molds, Electrical Distribution (480V/60Uz/3 Phase), with welding experience a plus.
  • Proper use of tools and techniques with limited supervision.
  • Ability to read and understand technical manuals, plant drawings, and schematics.
  • Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.

  • Location: Tempe, AZ
  • Work Schedule: 4pm-2am, 4/10's, Sunday through Wednesday (Thursday, Friday, Saturday off)
  • Duration: C2H (3 Months of Contract)
