Overview

MISTRAS Group, Inc. is seeking certified Rope Access RT/CR Technicians local to the Greater Houston area for full-time, nested positions to start as soon as possible. The RT Technician performs NDT operations and evaluates results of NDT tests as certified by Mistras Services written practices to routine NDT methods.

Responsibilities

  • Train RT assistant, run the film and grade the film per specific procedures directed by the customer.
  • Set up and calibrate equipment and interpret and evaluate results with respect to applicable codes, standards, and specifications.
  • Be familiar with the scope and limitations of the methods for which qualified and exercise assigned responsibility for on-the-job-training and guidance of trainees and NDT level I personnel.
  • Organize and report the results of NDT tests.
  • Generate NDT data, organize data, and report findings.
  • Evaluate data for disposition.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical school or college credits preferred.
  • Current ASNT NDE Level II certificate in the NDT method responsible (RT).
  • Proven ability to perform a variety of tasks, often changing assignments on short notice.
  • Proven ability to prioritize and complete work assignments by specific deadlines.
  • Proven ability to follow and communicate precise directions and procedures of the customer.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Ability to generate technical data orally, in writing, and electronically as required.
