Overview

GreenWood, Inc. is actively recruiting for a Pipe Welder Journeyman position at the Mitsubishi site in Greer, SC. This Regular Full-Time, Non-Exempt role involves completing welds on pipes according to specified standards, with a focus on safety and quality.

Responsibilities

  • Joins, fabricates, and repairs metal and other materials using appropriate welding techniques.
  • Interprets blueprints, specifications, diagrams, or schematics to determine the appropriate welding process.
  • Inspects completed welds to ensure structural soundness.
  • Assists with tests on new components, assemblies, and systems based on established test criteria.
  • Uses, maintains, and possesses required hand tools necessary for assigned tasks.
  • Participates in daily toolbox talks.
  • Ensures all safety procedures, practices, and regulations are followed.

Requirements

  • Five years of experience in pipe systems, testing processes, and equipment in the welding field.
  • Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and sense of urgency.
  • Ability to prioritize with an emphasis on quality of work.
  • Demonstrates ability to perform repetitive tasks with focus on quantity and quality.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrates a high level of communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform job functions with minimal supervision.
  • Experience demonstrating successful support of a positive safety culture.
  • Ability to perform essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodations.

Additional Information

  • Regular Full-Time position with a work schedule of Monday through Thursday, 7:00am-5:30pm.
  • Occasional overtime as needed.
  • Position does not require travel and does not offer per diem.
