Overview

Marquis Energy LLC is seeking a Project Welder in Hennepin, Illinois, responsible for planning and executing pipe system installations, ensuring alignment and functionality while adhering to safety standards.

Responsibilities

  • Lay out and plan pipe system installations following blueprints and specifications.
  • Cut, thread, bend, and weld pipe using various tools and equipment.
  • Measure and mark pipes for accurate cutting and threading.
  • Fit and assemble pipe systems and supports for various lines.
  • Interpret and follow technical documentation and specifications.
  • Fabricate and install complex piping configurations.
  • Test piping systems for leaks and proper operation.
  • Secure pipes and fittings using brackets, clamps, and hangers.
  • Perform maintenance and repairs on existing piping systems.
  • Support welding operations using various welding methods.
  • Collaborate with other departments to meet plant standards.
  • Be available for emergency repairs to minimize downtime.
  • Follow all safety procedures and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

  • Certificate of completion of a registered welding apprenticeship program or relevant experience of 4+ years.
  • AWS and/or NCCER certifications preferred.
  • Valid Driver’s License.
  • Performance driven and safety-conscious.
  • Resourceful and honest in communication.

  • The starting wage for this position is $34 – $42/hour.
