Overview

The Pipe Fitter position at Kohler involves performing plumbing and pipefitting tasks, including installation and maintenance of plumbing fixtures, in a heavy industrial environment. Kohler is committed to empowering employees and fostering a culture of safety and innovation.

Responsibilities

• Perform plumbing and pipefitting tasks including drain blocks and fixture replacement.
• Install and maintain plumbing fixtures.
• Repair radiators, unit heaters, heat exchangers, and oil coolers.
• Install and repair downspouts and drains.
• Work from drawings, diagrams, and specifications to cut, thread, form, and install piping and fixtures.
• Perform miscellaneous welding as required, excluding pressure vessel or structural steel welding.
• Bore holes through various materials to run pipe.
• Make and install brackets and hangers for pipe installation.
• Use Computerized Maintenance Management software for work notifications and parts ordering.
• Exercise safety for oneself and others while performing tasks.

Requirements

• Must be able to work in the US without restriction or sponsorship.
• Effective communication skills for manufacturing production processes.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High School diploma/GED required.
• Must hold and maintain a valid driver’s license and meet MVR Guidelines.
• Must complete a written technical skills knowledge evaluation.
• Must provide own tools.
• Ability to perform essential duties with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Successful completion of a drug screen and background check.
• Consistent attendance and work performance.
• Follow all safety policies and procedures.

Additional Information

• Onsite position in Kohler, WI.
• Shift: 1B, 3 days on 4 days off.
• Hours: 6:30AM–6:48PM.
• Must obtain Cross Connection testing certificate.
• Active participation in Kohler Company Fire Brigade required.
