Job Description

Overview

We are a very busy, fast-paced metal fabrication shop seeking a driven and motivated individual to help lead an install crew. The role involves following instructions and installing various types of ornamental and structural steel, ensuring timely completion and quality delivery to customers.

Responsibilities

  • Lead or assist on a crew made up of 1-2 people.
  • Follow instructions and take direction from supervisor.
  • Read work orders and blueprints to fully understand job/task.
  • Complete installs and tasks on time by designated dates.
  • Maintain a clean, organized and safe work environment.
  • Help prepare trucks, trailers and equipment specifically tailored to job.
  • Deliver a quality, finished product without errors to the customer.
  • Communicate progress and delays related to assigned work to office staff.

Requirements

  • Able to lift and carry up to 60 lbs. without assistance.
  • At least 5 years experience of metal fabrication.
  • Minimum 2 years experience working construction.
  • Ability to read work orders and blueprints.
  • Skilled knowledge of power and hand-held tools.
  • OSHA 10 (Must obtain within 2 weeks of employment).
