Overview

The Structural Steel QA/QC position focuses on quality control inspection and documentation within semiconductor fabrication facilities, ensuring compliance with building codes and project specifications.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular architectural inspections for compliance with local building codes and customer contract documents.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to plan and organize construction project activities.
  • Record and organize documentation for the QA program's implementation and effectiveness.
  • Complete all required QA documentation and reports for the project.
  • Formulate reports on work progress.
  • Conduct QC inspections on tool pedestals and perform design reviews, inspections, and sign-offs.
  • Communicate effectively with subcontractors, superintendents, office staff, engineering staff, consultants, and owner's representatives.
  • Represent the company in project and strategy meetings.
  • Perform final quality checks on structural welds.

Requirements

  • Knowledgeable in construction and inspection standards related to structural steel and welds.
  • Ability to read and interpret structural blueprints and current code requirements.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of weld inspection experience.
  • Minimum 2-5 years of experience in the Semiconductor Industry.
  • Certified Weld Inspector (CWI) or NDT Level II required.
  • Extensive knowledge of relevant codes and standards.
