Overview

The RxO - Maintenance Technician position is a full-time role focused on performing maintenance actions on facility equipment to support production needs within a global leader in the design, manufacture, and distribution of ophthalmic lenses and eyewear products.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventative maintenance on facility equipment and troubleshoot repairs.
  • Complete general facility maintenance including painting, cleaning, plumbing, HVAC, and electrical tasks.
  • Disassemble, clean, test, adjust, tune, and repair all equipment to maintain quality standards.
  • Perform minor electronic repairs, calibration, and alignment of equipment.
  • Use hand and power tools for machine, building, and grounds maintenance.
  • Conduct daily and periodic safety audits to ensure compliance.
  • Assist in the development and promotion of safety initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate inventory of parts in the inventory control system.
  • Assume additional responsibilities and perform special projects as needed.

Requirements

  • High School education or equivalent required; Associate degree in related field preferred.
  • 3+ years of previous related experience and/or training in troubleshooting manufacturing equipment.
  • Knowledge in the use of electronic test equipment preferred.
  • Basic understanding of PLC operation preferred.
  • Proficient in the use of a computerized maintenance management system.
  • Ability to read and interpret schematic diagrams preferred.
  • Basic refrigeration knowledge helpful.
  • Ability to read and interpret safety rules and maintenance instructions.
  • Ability to learn and retain complex equipment functions.
  • Valid Drivers License preferred.
