Overview

The Structural Welder/Fabricator position is an entry-level role focused on the safe and efficient fabrication of steel products during the night shift. The job requires close supervision and offers a competitive pay rate along with a full benefits package.

Responsibilities

  • Learn company policies and procedures.
  • Work on basic manufacturing assignments that have set standards.
  • Follow detailed instructions while observed closely by supervisor or lead.
  • Problem solve simple and non-complex issues that need little judgement.
  • Perform measurements within specified tolerances.
  • Learn to read blueprints.
  • Work with others.
  • Work safely and accurately.
  • Maintain prompt and dependable attendance.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED preferred.
  • 1 year of welding experience preferred.
  • Able to perform simple flat and horizontal welds and flat groove welds.
  • Able to fit and weld subassemblies with tack or spot weld.
  • Exhibit knowledge of material identification, equipment utilization and welding equipment set-up and maintenance.
  • General knowledge of equipment and operations.
  • Basic understanding of weld symbols.
  • Understand and follow oral and written directions.
  • Ability to read a tape measure (imperial and metric).
  • Ability to accept responsibility and account for actions.
  • Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly.
  • Ability to be truthful and credible in the workplace.
  • Ability to make decisions or take actions to solve a problem or reach a goal.
  • Dependable and trustworthy.
