Overview

The Senior Fabrication Estimator at Loenbro, LLC is an experienced technical estimator responsible for complex fabrication pursuits. This role involves developing complete fabrication estimates, leading technical reviews, and mentoring other estimators while ensuring high-quality standards in the company's fabrication capabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Lead fabrication estimates from pursuit planning through proposal and turnover.
  • Review drawings, specifications, models, bills of material, and applicable fabrication details.
  • Lead estimate reviews and provide independent QA/QC for fabrication pursuits.
  • Develop conceptual and detailed estimates for fabricated products and assemblies.
  • Estimate cutting, forming, machining, fitting, welding, assembly, handling, and loading.
  • Obtain and evaluate quotes for raw materials and other required services.
  • Advise Operations and leadership on fabrication sequence and procurement lead times.
  • Mentor estimators and improve technical consistency.
  • Develop and maintain fabrication labor factors and estimating tools.
  • Lead estimate turnover and communicate the basis of estimate.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 8 years of relevant estimating or equivalent construction experience.
  • Fabrication estimating experience, including material takeoff and shop labor development.
  • Demonstrated success leading complex or high-risk pursuits with minimal oversight.
  • Advanced capability in fabrication cost development and risk evaluation.
  • Ability to mentor others and influence consistent estimating practices.
  • Proficiency with estimating and document-management systems.
  • Ability to travel periodically to offices and project sites.
  • Valid driver’s license and insurability when driving is required.
  • Working knowledge of applicable fabrication codes and standards.
