Responsibilities

• Set up and operate fabricating machines to shape and assemble metal components.
• Inspect workpieces with measuring tools to ensure perfect results.
• Move parts into place using hands-on methods, hoists, or cranes.
• Study blueprints and engineering drawings to plan materials and processes.
• Lay out and examine metal stock for accuracy.
• Use hand files, grinders, and cutting torches to remove high spots and cut bevels.

Requirements

• Experience with machines and tools: setup, use, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
• Know-how in materials, methods, and construction of metal products.
• Ability to read blueprints and engineering drawings.
• Logic and reasoning skills to solve puzzles and problems.
• Solid teamwork skills.
• Commitment to safety.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Previous experience in fabrication, manufacturing, or a hands-on role involving machinery.
• Ability to lift 65 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Technical training or certification in fabrication/welding.
• Experience operating CNC machines.
• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing or similar systems.
• OSHA/safety training.
