Overview

Turner Industries Energy Services is seeking welders for maintenance work in the Whiting, IN area. The position involves laying out, fitting, and welding fabricated, cast, and forged components to assemble structural forms, while ensuring safety and compliance with procedures.

Responsibilities

• Lay out, fit, and weld fabricated, cast, and forged components.
• Assemble structural forms such as tanks, pressure vessels, and pipe.
• Select equipment and plan layout for welding.
• Position, align, and fit components together.
• Secure parts in position for welding using bolts and clamps.
• Set up equipment and weld parts.
• Assemble parts by bolting and riveting.
• Repair products by dismantling, straightening, reshaping, and reassembling.
• Use cutting torch to cut materials and demo existing assemblies.
• Perform additional assignments as directed by supervisor.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum four years of experience in welding.
• Must be able to pass a weld test before being hired.
• Must be certified as a welder.
• Post-offer drug/alcohol screen and physical evaluation required.
• Comply with company and client job site safety requirements.
• Must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of others.

• Schedule: 6/10's for 6+ months.
