Overview

The Senior Maintenance Technician at Viant is responsible for the assembly, installation, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of mechanical and electrical systems and machinery throughout the facility. Viant is a global medical device design and manufacturing services provider committed to delivering high-quality, life-enhancing medical technology.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, install, and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical components according to schematics, blueprints, or technical drawings.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues in machinery as well as throughout the overall facility.
• Perform preventative maintenance to ensure systems operate efficiently and safely.
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to support new equipment installations or modifications.
• Competency in operation of site’s wastewater treatment facility while meeting all required standards and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
• Ability to work emergency call-ins and mandatory overtime including weekends.
• Perform other functions as requested by management.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree or technical diploma in Electro-Mechanical Technology, Industrial Maintenance, or a related field.
• 5+ years of relevant experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of AC/DC circuits, PLCs, motors, gearboxes, hydraulics, pneumatics, and vacuum systems.
• Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams and schematics.
• Proficiency with hand tools, diagnostic instruments, and maintenance software.
• Excellent problem solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Must be able to wear a respirator and all other PPE requirements for the position.
• Ability to enter and attend permit required confined space.
• Mobile Equipment Certified.

Additional Information

• Must be able to work some weekends and on-call hours, as necessary.
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts.
• The employee will occasionally be exposed to high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; risk of electrical shock; and vibration.
