Overview

The Welder position involves cutting and joining metal components using MIG and/or TIG welding units, ensuring high-quality production while meeting targets and maintaining safety standards.

Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret technical documents and drawings.
  • Set up machines, change consumables, and set gases.
  • Prepare components for welding according to specifications.
  • Operate angle grinders to prepare parts for welding.
  • Align components using calipers and rulers, and clamp pieces.
  • Weld components using manual or semi-automatic equipment in various positions.
  • Repair machinery and components by welding and filling gaps.
  • Test and inspect welded surfaces for flaws.
  • Maintain equipment to ensure safety.
  • Identify materials by thickness and type.
  • Use measuring tools like tape measures and calipers.
  • Adhere to safety standards and use personal protective equipment.

Requirements

  • Minimum 1-2 years of welding experience.
  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience using electrical or manual tools.
  • Math skills including fractions, decimals, and basic operations.
  • Ability to read blueprints and perform flat layouts.
  • Capable of lifting up to 50lbs.

Additional Information

  • This is a full-time position with a minimum expectation of 40 hours per week, with overtime as required.
