Overview

Tuff Shed is seeking a Field Construction Technician to join their team, providing high-quality storage buildings and excellent customer service. The role involves delivery, warranty service, and customer interaction, requiring a mix of construction skills and customer service expertise.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the safe delivery of Tuff Shed storage buildings to various locations.
• Perform customer service warranty repair tasks on-site effectively and courteously.
• Provide feedback to management regarding warranty issues and completion concerns.
• Deliver excellent customer service to current and prospective customers.
• Assist with off-site special events such as Home Shows.
• Help maintain Home Depot displays and marketing materials.
• Inform the Operations Manager of service and maintenance requirements for Tuff Shed vehicles.
• Report defective or inoperable tools to management promptly.
• Ensure the vehicle's GPS device is connected and operational at all times.

Requirements

• General knowledge of the construction industry.
• Basic carpentry, roofing, and painting skills.
• Ability to read a tape measure, working drawings, and speed square.
• Ability to operate air compressors, air tools, and other basic power tools.
• Proven customer service and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read, write, and understand instructions in various forms.
• Effective communication skills with customers and team members.
• Experience driving flatbed trucks, box trucks, and towing trailers is a plus.
• Experience as a 'big box' delivery driver is a plus.
• Experience with vehicle inspections.
