Job Description

Overview

The Maintenance Technician will support the Maintenance Supervisor by performing hands-on maintenance of production lines and mechanical equipment, ensuring operational efficiency and safety. This position works 2nd shift from 3:30 PM to 12:00 AM, Monday to Friday, with potential training on the 1st shift.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct routine production line maintenance and repairs such as replacement of belts and cleaning of filling heads.
  • Follow established preventive maintenance schedules and provide support for routine maintenance.
  • Maintain inventory of parts and supplies.
  • Record and report on maintenance repairs and issues as needed.
  • Ensure all safety and work procedures are followed.
  • Maintain building and facility needs such as painting, cleaning, and lightbulb changes.
  • Use personal protective equipment (PPE) efficiently.
  • Assist in providing training for line operators and shift leads on basic maintenance tasks.
  • Document and analyze trends of scheduled and unscheduled downtime.
  • Assist with the development of written maintenance related SOPs.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of mechanical experience required.
  • Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Must be available for shift, weekend assignments, and on-call.
  • Ability to read blueprints and wiring diagrams.
  • Prior forklift certification preferred.
  • Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and teamwork attitude.
  • Experience and knowledge of hydraulics a plus.
  • Knowledge of electricity on an industrial basis a plus.
  • Knowledge of PLC software a plus.

Additional Information

  • Work schedule is 2nd shift from 3:30 PM to 12:00 AM, Monday to Friday.
  • Flexible days and hours may be required.
  • Training on 1st shift is required for a period of time.
