Overview

Granite Peak Fabrication is an ISO 9001:2015 certified shop in Casper, WY, specializing in ASME Section VIII pressure vessels and custom process equipment for various markets. They are seeking experienced ASME Code Vessel Welders to produce high-quality welds consistently.

Responsibilities

  • Fabricate ASME Section VIII, Div. 1 pressure vessels and tanks to code and customer specifications.
  • Lay out vessel shells, nozzle locations, and attachments from the drawing.
  • Fit heads, nozzles, flanges, manways, and shell courses.
  • Weld long seams, circ seams, and nozzles using GMAW, FCAW, and sub-arc on positioners and turning rolls.
  • Produce 100% X-ray quality welds with minimal rework.
  • Inspect fit-up, dimensions, and welds prior to QA/QC hold points.
  • Read and comprehend blueprints, bills of material, and weld procedures.
  • Operate various hand and power tools.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working area.
  • Communicate daily with the foreman and laborers regarding issues.

Requirements

  • 5+ years’ experience welding ASME Section VIII pressure vessels with GMAW & FCAW.
  • Pass a 6G bend test on 2.5” XXH pipe using GMAW and FCAW.
  • Ability to read vessel prints and lay out, fit, and weld from them independently.
  • Pre-employment drug test is required.
