Overview

Solenis is seeking a Pipe Welder in Charleston, TN. The company, Bilfinger, is a leading international industrial services provider with over 4,500 skilled employees in North America, delivering services across various industries.

Responsibilities

  • Understand construction risks and communicate them to the supervisor.
  • Select materials and plan layout, assembly, and welding.
  • Weld components in various positions.
  • Secure parts for welding using bolts, clamps, and tack welds.
  • Repair products by dismantling and reassembling parts.
  • Operate cutting equipment and various power and hand tools.
  • Determine required equipment and welding methods.
  • Follow all quality requirements.
  • Weld components using the TIG welding process.
  • Test and inspect welded surfaces for flaws.
  • Read blueprints and plan layout and procedures.
  • Load, transport, and unload tools and equipment.
  • Assist in lifting and securing materials during assembly.
  • Perform minor maintenance and cleaning of tools.
  • Comply with all safety and project rules.
  • Perform other duties as requested.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of welding experience in an industrial setting.
  • High School Diploma/GED and completion of craft apprenticeship.
  • Must pass weld test as determined per site requirements.
  • Proficient in reading blueprints and isometric drawings.
  • Excellent verbal, written communication, and listening skills.
  • Must wear PPE in designated areas.
  • Ability to work at heights.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Ability to work individually and in a team.
  • Ability to perform essential physical requirements in harsh conditions.

  • Work schedule is tentative to M-Th or Tu-Fri, 6:00am - 4:30pm, with possible overtime.
  • Jobsite location is 1200 Old Lower River Rd Charleston TN 37310, Gate # 2.
