The Field Technician I role involves performing onsite bolting, heat treating, and field machining, with a focus on efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Perform onsite bolting, heat treating or field machining work at customer locations.
- Troubleshoot onsite equipment and determine proper methods to fulfill customer needs.
- Operate a variety of tools for field work.
- Document and record work performed utilizing required forms.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
- Communicate and cooperate with supervisors and coworkers.
- Meet and communicate with customers professionally.
- Operate and maintain company tools, equipment, and vehicles.
- Follow quality service standards and comply with procedures.
- Work in accordance with all safety regulations.
- Complete other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Experience in mechanical bolting, heat treating, or field machining preferred.
- Experience performing maintenance and turnaround services in refining, chemical, midstream, and power industries.
- High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED) preferred.
- Possess a current TWIC card or have the ability to obtain one.
- Valid driver license with a clear driving record.
- Demonstrated mechanical ability.
- Must be able to travel a minimum of 75% of the time.
- Ability to pass a non-DOT medical exam, drug and alcohol test, respirator qualification test, and federal class background check.
- Ability to work at heights or in enclosed spaces.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly.
- Safety awareness to identify and correct conditions affecting employee safety.
- Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing assignments.
- Accountability for actions.
