The Field Technician I role involves performing onsite bolting, heat treating, and field machining, with a focus on efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Perform onsite bolting, heat treating or field machining work at customer locations.
  • Troubleshoot onsite equipment and determine proper methods to fulfill customer needs.
  • Operate a variety of tools for field work.
  • Document and record work performed utilizing required forms.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
  • Communicate and cooperate with supervisors and coworkers.
  • Meet and communicate with customers professionally.
  • Operate and maintain company tools, equipment, and vehicles.
  • Follow quality service standards and comply with procedures.
  • Work in accordance with all safety regulations.
  • Complete other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Experience in mechanical bolting, heat treating, or field machining preferred.
  • Experience performing maintenance and turnaround services in refining, chemical, midstream, and power industries.
  • High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED) preferred.
  • Possess a current TWIC card or have the ability to obtain one.
  • Valid driver license with a clear driving record.
  • Demonstrated mechanical ability.
  • Must be able to travel a minimum of 75% of the time.
  • Ability to pass a non-DOT medical exam, drug and alcohol test, respirator qualification test, and federal class background check.
  • Ability to work at heights or in enclosed spaces.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly.
  • Safety awareness to identify and correct conditions affecting employee safety.
  • Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing assignments.
  • Accountability for actions.
