Overview

L3Harris is seeking a Weld Inspector for its Canoga Park Facility in California, which produces propulsion components and systems for NASA, Military, and Commercial contracts. The role involves visual verification of weld requirements and collaboration with production teams to ensure quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret manufacturing standard drawings and weld symbols.
• Create non-conformance reports for inspection results.
• Work directly with Production and Fabrication shop to provide required defect details.
• Utilize factory planning software suites and Microsoft Office for communications and documentation.
• Read calipers and use dimensional equipment and borescopes for internal inspections.
• Identify problems and work to achieve operational targets.
• Determine methods and procedures necessary for inspection.
• Communicate with process and product experts for information and interpretation of results.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 6 years of prior Weld process experience.
• Experience with a variety of weld processes, including TIG, Robotic, and Electron Beam.
• Experience with dimensioning and tolerancing systems (GD&T).
• Experience with using molds for dimensional verification.
• Willingness to secure and capability to pass a 'Secret' clearance background check.
