Overview

Rio Tinto Minerals is seeking a Millwright I for their Wilmington shipping plant to perform maintenance, installation, and repair of machinery and equipment, ensuring optimal operating efficiency. The company is a global leader in industrial mineral supply, particularly in borates.

Responsibilities

  • Follow all required safety rules and procedures.
  • Coordinate Millwright functions with overall Plant Operations.
  • Prepare parts lists and order and retrieve parts as needed.
  • Use power and hand equipment for varied types of rigging.
  • Diagnose and repair rotating and conveying equipment.

Requirements

  • HS diploma or GED; ability to read and write in English and proficiency in basic math.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience repairing Industrial Equipment.
  • Pass a mechanical aptitude test.
  • Demonstrable mechanical aptitude and skills in rigging, fabricating, repairing equipment, and welding.
  • Ability to read blueprints and drawings.
