Overview

The Welder position involves performing x-ray quality welding using SMAW and GTAW processes across various applications, including piping and structural steel. Candidates should have a basic understanding of isometric drawings and the ability to read WPS/PQR documents.

Responsibilities

• Perform x-ray quality welding in all positions using SMAW and GTAW processes.
• Weld piping, structural steel, and supports.
• Read and understand isometric drawings and blueprints.
• Verify fit-ups and dimensions.
• Conduct field measurements and fabricate or modify piping as needed.
• Set up jobs, including stringing welding leads and building fireboxes.

Requirements

• Basic understanding of isometric drawings and blueprints.
• Ability to read and understand WPS/PQR documents.
• Mathematical skills relevant to welding tasks.
• Able to pass required weld tests.
• Basic rigging knowledge for moving piping details and fittings.
• Competent in welding in confined spaces and awkward positions.
