Overview

The Manufacturing Equipment Operator is responsible for producing components to meet internal and customer requirements. This position is located in Houston, Texas, and reports to the Manufacturing Supervisor while collaborating with Welding and Assembly teams.

Responsibilities

  • Operate equipment such as forklifts and cranes.
  • Prepare sheet metal for welding per specifications.
  • Meet and/or exceed standards for safety, productivity, housekeeping, and attendance.
  • Interpret blueprints and written part requirements.
  • Process inspection, certification, and documentation as needed.
  • Read parts list and determine if all parts are present.
  • Interpret measurements and verify specifications.
  • Cut and shape metals to be prepped for the welders.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Experience operating forklifts and/or cranes.
  • Ability to read a tape measure.
  • High School Diploma.
  • Proven decision making and analytical skills.
  • Proficient in the use of tools such as tape measure, calipers, forklifts, and cranes.
  • Ability to work independently and complete duties and projects with little direct supervision.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to produce high quality products in a timely manner.
  • Must be able to lift to 50 lbs. individually and heavier items with team lift.
  • Knowledge of safe workplace practices.

  • Shift: 2nd Shift Monday - Thursday, 3:00pm - 1:30am with overtime as necessary.
