Responsibilities

  • Perform all tasks required for a Weld Maintenance Mechanic I.
  • Mentor and follow specified maintenance and repair procedures to install, maintain, and repair production machinery and tools.
  • Electrically troubleshoot issues using a meter.
  • Utilize intermediate mechanical troubleshooting skills with robotics and welding equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and repair components, replace faulty components/equipment.
  • Navigate and troubleshoot robotic movements using a teach pendant.
  • Edit and modify programs via teach pendant.
  • Apply intermediate welding knowledge and processes including MIG, Spot, and Stud welding.
  • Safely use hand tools, grinders, torches, hydraulic jacks, welders, scissor lifts, boom lifts, forklifts, and drill presses.
  • Conduct intermediate troubleshooting of both welding equipment and systems.
  • Understand and troubleshoot lubrication processes.
  • Coach and direct Weld Maintenance Mechanics Level I.
  • Participate in continuous improvement efforts to enhance production efficiency and product quality.
  • Perform preventative maintenance and provide input on updates to maintenance schedules.
  • Understand shim logs and make shim adjustments with guidance.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or General Educational Development (GED).
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English at a sufficient level.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Applications (e.g. Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Minimum of five years of Machine Repair experience.
  • Experience in Mechanical, Electrical, Pneumatics, and Hydraulics.
  • Intermediate knowledge of relevant robotic controls and processes.
  • High standards of performance and responsibility for actions and results.
  • Ability to resolve conflicts constructively and maintain positive relationships.
  • Willingness to flex between work areas to support plant flow.
  • Ability to approach change positively and collaboratively.

Additional Information

  • This is a 1st Shift position from 5:00 AM to 1:00 PM, Monday to Friday.
  • Occasional early arrivals, late stays, or weekend work may be required.
