Responsibilities

• Travel to various sites to support local maintenance teams.
• Repair, overhaul, or modify complex vehicles and equipment.
• Exercise judgment to determine methods and techniques for complex repairs.
• Plan and improvise repair procedures and adapt items to fit into systems.
• Independently determine work methods, sequences, tools, and equipment for repairs.
• Take responsibility for a variety of systems or entire vehicles.
• Develop or improvise methods and make repairs in the absence of technical guidelines.
• Use specialized diagnostic equipment to diagnose problems in complex systems.

Requirements

• Ability to solve unusually complex maintenance and repair problems.
• Experience with off-road heavy mobile equipment.
• Strong judgment and independence in determining repair methods.
• Skills in modifying parts to fit into systems not originally designed for them.
• Ability to diagnose and replace defective components in electric and electronic systems.
