Overview

The Industrial Maintenance Mechanic at RailWorks is responsible for ensuring the operation of machinery and mechanical equipment while maintaining plant facilities. The company is a leading provider of rail maintenance and infrastructure solutions in North America, offering a collaborative and safe work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with OSHA and NARSTCO standards and maintain a safe, clean work environment.
  • Uphold integrity, honesty, and professionalism in all interactions.
  • Perform maintenance, repair, service, and troubleshooting of industrial equipment and buildings.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance per technical drawings, manuals, and specifications.
  • Operate forklifts safely and manage parts and supply inventory to prevent downtime.
  • Document and communicate work, irregularities, and ongoing maintenance needs.
  • Maintain technical knowledge through workshops, publications, and networks.
  • Support team goals and provide additional assistance as needed.

Requirements

  • Associates or Vocational degree preferred.
  • High School diploma or GED.
  • CIMM (Certified Industrial Maintenance Mechanic) preferred.
  • Welding (certification) preferred.
  • 3-5 years of work experience in Industrial Machinery Maintenance and Repair.
  • Mechanical, Hydraulic, Electrical and Pneumatic troubleshooting and repair experience required.
