Responsibilities

  • Follow all health, safety, and environmental requirements.
  • Perform cleanup duties.
  • Perform material handling and storage duties.
  • Identify, use, and care for common hand and power tools.
  • Use and care of craft specific tools and equipment.
  • Apply craft related mathematics.
  • Use safety standards and best safety practices relevant to rigging.
  • Inspect rigging equipment and hardware.
  • Apply common hitches and emergency stop signals.
  • Tie knots such as bowline and clove hitch.
  • Read and interpret drawings and construction plans.
  • Measure, cut, and assemble wood and metal forms for concrete pours.
  • Prepare layout using rule, framing square, and calipers.
  • Construct forms and chutes for pouring concrete.
  • Ensure forms are properly aligned and secured.
  • Pour and finish concrete within forms.
  • Dismantle forms after concrete has set following appropriate cure time.
  • Erect built-in-place forms or assemble and install prefabricated forms.
  • Assemble cut and shaped materials and fasten them together.
  • Erect scaffolding and ladders for assembling structures above ground.
  • Anchor and brace forms to fixed objects.
  • Mark cutting and assembly lines on materials.
  • Shape materials to prescribed measurements using saws, chisels, and planes.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

  • Stoop for work positioning and lifting.
  • Lift a maximum of 50 lbs without assistance.
  • Comprehend and respond to audible/visual instructions, alarms, and warnings.
  • Climb/balance on ladders, scaffolding, and structures.
  • Kneel for work positioning and task performance.
  • Reach above shoulders and away from body to perform work tasks.
  • Demonstrate manual dexterity to perform work tasks.
