Overview

Graver Technologies LLC, part of the global industrial organization Marmon Holdings backed by Berkshire Hathaway, is seeking a Maintenance Technician responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing manufacturing plant equipment in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and repair all production equipment.
  • Perform preventive maintenance to production equipment.
  • Organize and maintain an organized maintenance shop.
  • Maintain spare parts inventory list and organize inventory.
  • Interact with Engineer & Production Team; coordinate jobs/projects on a daily basis.
  • Review all work orders and complete all required work.
  • Make recommendations on equipment replacement.
  • Manage contractors performing repairs and improvements to the facility.
  • Prepare Purchase Orders for vendors.
  • Complete and document inspections/exercises such as Monthly Fire Extinguisher and Sprinkler System Inspections.

Requirements

  • High School diploma (or GED).
  • 5 years maintenance experience in an industrial manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with troubleshooting, repairing, replacing and installing manufacturing equipment.
  • Knowledgeable of industrial manufacturing equipment including piping, pumps, blowers, and valves.
  • Ability to read and understand mechanical and electrical drawings.
  • General plumbing knowledge and working experience with pipe fitting and pipe fitting tools is strongly preferred.
  • Working experience with line breaks involving chemicals.
  • General electrical knowledge and working experience with single phase and low voltage control wiring is strongly preferred.
  • General instrument/controls knowledge and ability to pinpoint equipment operational issues.
  • Working experience with pneumatics and hydraulics.
  • Detail oriented with demonstrated analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to speak, understand, read, and write English.

Additional Information

  • Must possess manual dexterity and the ability to lift 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work in plant with multiple levels requiring ascending steps, ladders and working on decks/roofs.
  • Will enter confined spaces through existing manways.
  • Ability to be certified for respirator use.
  • Ability to operate powered industrial equipment including forklifts and manlifts.
  • Must have a housekeeping mindset and keep work areas organized and clean.
  • Must be able to support after-hour repairs.
