Overview

Formlabs is a company that builds tools for 3D printing technology, empowering users to bring their ideas to life. The Field Service Technician role involves being the primary technical contact for customers across North America, with a focus on equipment installation, training, and maintenance.

Responsibilities

  • Travel to customer sites to unpack, install, commission, and calibrate new 3D printing systems.
  • Conduct structured on-site training sessions for new and existing customers.
  • Perform live product demos to inspire confidence in the technology.
  • Act as a deployable resource for customers facing downtime, often traveling on short notice.
  • Manage a schedule of annual maintenance visits for warrantied customers.
  • Diagnose electromechanical issues and achieve 'single visit resolutions'.
  • Execute a high volume of activity and manage a complex travel schedule.
  • Maintain meticulous records of installations, training sessions, and repairs in Salesforce.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a STEM-related field.
  • Hands-on repair experience.
  • Valid passport.
  • Ability to perform job functions utilizing written procedures, verbal instructions, and visual aids.
  • Ability to work independently with little direct supervision while traveling 80+% of the time.
  • Located in close proximity to Newark Airport.
