Overview
The Large Yachts Welder/Fabricator is responsible for layouts, fabrication, testing, troubleshooting, repairing, and modifying equipment and components made from both ferrous and non-ferrous alloy materials according to specifications with minimal oversight. This role requires proficiency in various welding processes and a commitment to quality and safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Perform welding in all positions, including complex joints and orientations.
- Utilize multiple welding processes: GTAW (TIG), GMAW Steel MIG, FCAW, GMAW Aluminum MIG, SMAW, following AWS and/or Shipyard standards.
- Execute welds on various joint types such as lap, tee, fillet, and tube-to-plate.
- Work with aluminum and stainless-steel plate and pipe, ensuring high-quality welds.
- Interpret and apply welding codes and specifications accurately.
- Maintain high standards of quality and safety throughout all tasks.
- Take responsibility for workmanship and ensure compliance with company and industry standards.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience with aluminum and stainless-steel plate and pipe welding.
- Experience TIG and MIG.
- Must pass AWS certification test for 3G and 4G (plate) and 6G (pipe) positions after employment.
- Must be able to read and write clearly and legibly.
- Must be able to read a tape measure.
- Must have a valid and clean driver’s license.
- Must be able to stand and work for 8 hours a day.
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.

- Requires the use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulations.
- Requires the ability to lift, carry, push or pull up to 50 pounds.
