Overview

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Quality Assurance (QA) Inspector to join our fabrication team. This vital role involves inspecting fabricated components throughout the manufacturing process to ensure they meet engineering drawings, customer specifications, and our ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System standards.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct in-process and final quality inspections on fabricated components.
  • Verify dimensions, tolerances, fit-up, and assembly against engineering drawings and customer specifications.
  • Perform dimensional inspections after parts are cut and tack welded, prior to welding.
  • Carry out visual weld inspections in accordance with the company’s Quality Management System (ISO 9001:2015).
  • Ensure fabrication activities adhere to welding procedures (WPS) and internal quality standards.
  • Utilize measuring tools such as tape measures, calipers, micrometers, and other precision instruments.
  • Inspect paint quality, coating preparation, and calibration status of shop equipment and gauges.
  • Coordinate with third-party inspectors for NDE and coating inspections, serving as the primary shop liaison.
  • Communicate quality concerns directly with the Shop Foreman and production team to resolve discrepancies.
  • Record inspection results and maintain quality documentation in compliance with company procedures.
  • Assist with incoming material inspections as needed.
  • Promote a safe, organized, and quality-focused work environment.
