Overview

The Structural Engineer will work on project teams to create designs for various projects including power, process, corporate, healthcare, and military facilities. This role involves adapting structural plans according to budget constraints and client needs throughout the design and construction process.

Responsibilities

  • Perform structural design of projects from conceptual phase through design completion.
  • Modify and review production drawings for various projects.
  • Design structural components based on project needs and requirements.
  • Apply knowledge of structural engineering concepts, principles, and practices.
  • Research and compile project-related data as required.
  • Update drawings provided by senior engineers using CAD software.
  • Compile information for client presentations and contract administration.
  • Perform field inspections, measurements, or calculations for clients.
  • Comply with all policies and standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor Degree in Structural Engineering or related degree from an ABET accredited program and minimum 3 years of structural engineering experience.
  • Bachelor of Science in Structural or related Engineering Technology from an ABET accredited program and successful completion of Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam and minimum 3 years of structural engineering experience.
  • Master Degree of Science in Structural Engineering and minimum 2 years of structural engineering experience.
  • Strong knowledge in standard engineering techniques and procedures.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work methodically and analytically in a quantitative problem-solving environment.
  • Proficient in standard engineering techniques and procedures.
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite and structural analysis programs.
  • Strong attention to detail, facilitation, team building, collaboration, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Engineers in Training-EIT Certification preferred.
