Overview

DC Fabricators Inc. is a leader in the design, technology, and manufacturing of steam condensers and heat exchangers for the US Navy. They are seeking a skilled Machine Operator for their Florence, NJ facility to operate various machinery and assist in the machine shop.

Responsibilities

  • Assist operators and machinists in the machine shop.
  • Operate vertical and horizontal boring machines.
  • Operate lathes and mills, such as BridgePort Machine.
  • Operate tool cutting, grinding, and sharpening equipment.
  • Operate saws, grinders, and other tools.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Vocational/Trade School diploma or related post-high school education desirable.
  • At least three (3) years of relevant machining experience.
  • Proficient computer skills required.
  • Ability to read blueprints.
  • Ability to use measuring instruments of the trade (micrometers, scales, etc.).
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Manual dexterity, accuracy, and attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of metal properties and other materials.
  • Mathematical skills and analytical abilities.
