Overview

Xylem is a Fortune 500 global water solutions company focused on sustainable impact and innovative water technology. They are seeking a skilled Welder/Fabricator for their third shift to produce high-quality weldments in a heavy-industry manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Interpreting engineered drawings, blueprints, weld symbols, and dimensions
  • Performing high-quality welding on carbon steel and stainless steel
  • Using FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding) and GMAW/MIG welding processes
  • Following red-line processes and recommending modifications or improvements
  • Troubleshooting welding equipment, machines, and consumables
  • Operating hand and power tools including grinders and chipping hammers
  • Accurately entering labor hours and production data into SAP
  • Collaborating with supervisors and teammates to meet production and quality goals
  • Supporting continuous improvement initiatives, including 5S, housekeeping, and safety audits
  • Maintaining a strong focus on safety, quality, and on-time delivery

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1+ years of welding experience in an industrial or fabrication environment
  • Proven experience with FCAW and GMAW/MIG welding
  • Experience welding carbon steel and stainless steel
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and weld symbols
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
  • Commitment to safety, quality, and teamwork
  • Preferred: TIG/GTAW welding experience
  • Preferred: Fabrication experience
  • Preferred: Code welding or ASME certification
  • Preferred: Background in heavy-industry manufacturing environments

Additional Information

  • Third shift: Monday - Thursday, 6:30 PM - 5:00 AM
  • Compensation: $20-$24/hour based on experience
  • 15% Shift differential while on 3rd shift
  • 1,000 Sign on Bonus

What you'll be running

This posting calls for MIG, TIG, and Flux-Core work. MIG (GMAW) feeds a continuous wire electrode through a shielding-gas nozzle.
