Overview

Fluor is committed to designing and building projects and careers while fostering a collaborative work environment. The Forklift Mechanic will diagnose, repair, and perform preventative maintenance on industrial mobile equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Safely diagnose, repair, and perform planned preventative maintenance on industrial mobile equipment.
  • Perform scheduled and unscheduled preventative maintenance, inspections, and service requests.
  • Work with the planning department to maintain records in the electronic CMMS program.
  • Assist in millwright job duties in a team environment at a heavy industry work site.
  • Comply with all Fluor Corporation safety requirements and programs.
  • Represent the company by servicing equipment on client site and ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain critical spare part inventory for repairs and preventative maintenance.
  • Schedule all upcoming repairs and maintenance with the Planning Department.
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with clients, vendors, and co-workers.
  • Perform Precision Maintenance with various mechanical components.
  • Check safety and limit controls for proper setting before returning equipment to service.
  • Work with OEM to diagnose issues and ensure proper parts are ordered.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general equivalency degree (GED).
  • Minimum of 4 years’ experience working on mobile equipment preferred or a combination of technical schooling and experience.
  • Knowledge of Precision Maintenance with various mechanical components.
  • Ability to read and interpret building layouts, system drawings, and manufacturers’ equipment specifications.
  • Knowledge of standard and specialized maintenance practices.

Additional Information

  • Regular work schedule is Monday - Friday, 7 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.
  • Ability to work flexible hours and be available for call-ins as required.
