Overview

Fluor is a leading government contractor focused on delivering high-value technical solutions to U.S. government agencies. They are looking for a Mechanic - Master to join their team, emphasizing a collaborative work environment and innovative solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Follow all health, safety, and environmental requirements.
  • Perform cleanup duties and material handling.
  • Identify, use, and care for common hand and power tools.
  • Use and care of craft-specific tools and equipment.
  • Apply craft-related mathematics.
  • Understand and apply safety standards relevant to rigging.
  • Inspect rigging equipment and hardware.
  • Use common hitches and basic crane hand signals.
  • Tie knots such as bowline and clove hitch.
  • Perform full life cycle maintenance and repair of heavy civil construction equipment.
  • Repair and/or overhaul engines, electrical systems, hydraulics, fuel, and brake systems.
  • Maintain fleet vehicles and service trucks.
  • Diagnose and repair various types of equipment failures.
  • Operate various types of construction equipment.
  • Examine, troubleshoot, restore, and maintain heavy construction equipment and fleet vehicles.
  • Perform maintenance inspections and general repairs.
  • May oversee repairs completed by other mechanics.

Requirements

  • Two years verifiable experience is preferable for entry level position.
  • Required valid Driver License; CDL Class A or B is preferred.
  • Experience in maintaining fleet vehicles and service trucks.
  • Ability to diagnose and repair various types of equipment failures.
  • Knowledge of construction equipment and performing diverse repair tasks.
  • ASE Certifications are a plus.
