Overview

EnerSys Advanced Systems (EAS) is a specialized division of EnerSys, focusing on cutting-edge energy solutions for the aerospace, defense, and medical industries. They are seeking a Facilities Technician to join their innovative team and contribute to their growth.

Responsibilities

  • Perform general building coordination of outside services.
  • Analyze and solve minor electrical, carpentry, refrigeration, mechanical, and plumbing problems.
  • Participate in remodeling and other repair and maintenance activities.
  • Maintain inventory of material and repair parts for commissary equipment.
  • Perform regular facility inspections for potential areas needing repair.
  • Conduct HVAC related activities including adjusting temp/humidity.
  • Perform janitor related tasks.
  • Make recommendations to modify or replace equipment.
  • Test, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair machines and equipment.
  • Set up and operate all tools and equipment necessary for assigned work.
  • Perform minor electrical installations.
  • Organize and maintain inventory of spare parts and equipment consumables.
  • Source and obtain multiple quotes for needed parts and supplies.
  • Complete paperwork for Facilities, Purchasing, Quality, and Operations.
  • Operate lift trucks/equipment.
  • Complete HAZWOPER certification and respond to emergencies.
  • Instruct and supervise coworkers in performing repairs and maintenance.

Requirements

  • Availability to be on call 24/7.
  • Ability to read equipment wiring diagrams for diagnosis purposes.
  • Ability to understand and utilize equipment documentation for troubleshooting.
  • Understanding of good manufacturing and safety practices.
  • Strong customer service attitude and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to execute multiple tasks efficiently and effectively.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Demonstrated flexibility, organization, and self-motivation.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to work independently at times with minimal support.
  • 2-5 years of experience in a Facilities Maintenance role or equivalent education.
