Overview

L3Harris is seeking a Non Destructive Testing RT / PT Level 2 Technician for the 2nd shift in Carlstadt, New Jersey. The role involves inspecting critical components using advanced non-destructive testing methods to ensure quality and safety in aerospace manufacturing.

Responsibilities

  • Perform radiographic and fluorescent penetrant inspections following provided techniques and work instructions.
  • Interpret results to determine whether parts pass or fail inspection based on drawings, procedures, and customer specifications.
  • Assist in maintaining the inspection areas and equipment.
  • Maintain accurate records of inspections and process logs as required.
  • Detect and identify indications affecting quality and safety factors.
  • Determine and disposition items based on NDT results.
  • Record test results, findings, and dispositions manually or using a computer system.
  • Coordinate recurring defects with supervisors and quality engineers, recommending corrective actions if necessary.
  • Test and pass NAS 410 Level II certification in-house.
  • Pass vision test requirements.
  • Obtain a US Security Clearance.
  • May be required to work some weekends.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Previously certified to NAS 410 or ASNT TC-1A Level 2 in Radiographic Testing or Fluorescent Penetrant Testing with a minimum of one year NDT work experience.
  • Candidates with less experience previously certified to RT or PT NAS410 or ASNT TC-1A Level 1 may be considered.
