Overview

Spartanics designs and manufactures industrial equipment for precision laser converting, card counting, material handling, and custom automation. The Electrical Assembly Technician / Machine Builder is responsible for the electrical wiring, assembly, checkout, and troubleshooting of Spartanics industrial machinery, ensuring quality and accuracy from schematics to machine readiness.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary electrical assembly resource on assigned machine builds.
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and mechanical assembly drawings.
  • Perform point-to-point machine wiring and connect wires and cables in an organized manner.
  • Install and connect electrical devices including terminal blocks, sensors, and motors.
  • Prepare and terminate conductors using appropriate electrical assembly tools.
  • Apply safe electrical work practices and identify applicable voltage levels.
  • Verify completed wiring against schematics and perform basic electrical checks.
  • Troubleshoot electrical problems during assembly and testing.
  • Perform mechanical machine assembly as needed from engineering drawings.
  • Assist with pneumatic and hydraulic installation and troubleshooting.
  • Work closely with engineering and other teams during machine startup.
  • Use company ERP and document-management systems to verify work orders and job status.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, organized work area.

Requirements

  • Previous hands-on experience with industrial electrical assembly or a related environment.
  • Ability to read and work independently from electrical schematics and diagrams.
  • Strong knowledge of industrial electrical components and wiring practices.
  • Experience using electrical and mechanical assembly tools.
  • Mechanical aptitude to assemble and troubleshoot machine components.
  • Ability to systematically troubleshoot machine problems.
  • Ability to use or learn ERP systems and engineering document-management tools.
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and communication skills.

Additional Information

  • Standard working hours are 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM or 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
  • Overtime may be required based on production demands.
  • Travel is required as business needs dictate, including domestic and occasional international assignments.
