Overview

Crestron Electronics, Inc is a leading brand in automation and control solutions, providing technology integration for Fortune 500 companies globally. They are seeking a creative Model Maker to fabricate prototypes for design verification in a high-tech engineering environment.

Responsibilities

  • Complete in-house training to operate various shop equipment.
  • Operate high-pressure waterjet and plastic prototyping equipment.
  • Perform sheet metal forming and hardware insertion.
  • Use other power fabrication equipment.
  • Finish and paint prototypes.
  • Operate CNC press brake, lathe, and CNC mill.
  • Assist with assembly of test units and construction of test fixtures.
  • Rework existing parts and perform routine maintenance on equipment.
  • Read technical prints and use calipers.
  • Learn CAD software: Creo.

Requirements

  • Education: College, Technical School or High School.
  • 3-5 years experience in a related field.
  • High mechanical aptitude to visualize 3D designs.
  • Logical and creative problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to quickly learn new technical skills including software applications and equipment.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Detail oriented, working to tight tolerances.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Must be able to lift 40lbs.
