Overview

Sunstate Equipment Co. is hiring a Field Technician III in Carrolton, TX, offering a $2,500 sign-on bonus and a focus on safety and employee well-being. The position requires a minimum of 4 years of experience as a diesel mechanic with a construction equipment background.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect, service, and test equipment to ensure performance to manufacturer specifications.
  • Perform routine service on equipment including checking fluid levels and changing fluids.
  • Perform major and minor repairs on diesel and gas engines, electrical, hydraulics, pneumatics, and drive trains.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with electrical and hydraulic systems and diesel engines.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate records on maintenance and repair of equipment.
  • Perform novice level welding repairs (MIG & SMAW).
  • Support team goals and collaborate effectively with colleagues.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 4 years’ experience as a diesel mechanic with a construction equipment or rental background.
  • Proficient troubleshooting and diagnosing skills with electrical and hydraulic systems.
  • Experience performing major and minor repairs on diesel and gas engines.
  • Must have necessary tools averaging $10,000+ in value.
  • Basic computer knowledge for service work orders and parts ordering.
  • Having a TWIC or Safety Council OSHA Basic Plus certification is preferred.
  • Experience with industrial pumps, power equipment, and HVAC is a plus.
