Overview

Samaritan's Purse is seeking a Construction Worker to join their U.S. Rebuild team in San Angelo, Texas. The role involves constructing and repairing homes while sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ and maintaining a personal relationship with Jesus.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a personal, active relationship with Jesus Christ and be a consistent witness for Jesus Christ.
  • Work jointly with the Project Superintendent, Construction Foremen, and Logistics Coordinators to construct and/or repair homes.
  • Work with other construction workers and hired subcontractors when needed.
  • Lead skilled and unskilled volunteer labor on the job site.
  • Provide safety training and general project training for team members at the job site.
  • Ensure all work is done according to safety standards.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • One-year certificate from college or technical school and three to six months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to obtain a driver's medical card (required).
  • Trade certifications (electrical, plumbing, roofing, framing, and finish carpentry) (preferred).
  • Class A Commercial Driver's License (preferred).
  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of all aspects of residential home construction, from layout and foundation work to final inspection.
